In this DVD, Prof. Stuart Burgess uses his expertise in design and aesthetics to explain why the natural world is so beautiful. He uses the example of the beauty of the Royal Crescent in Bath to illustrate nine principles of aesthetic beauty. He then shows us how all of these principles of beauty can be seen in nature using examples such as flowers, trees, grass, butterflies and birds. Most filming is original and is taken in the Royal Victoria Park.
Prof. Burgess has published over 130 scientific papers on design in engineering and nature and has won several prizes for engineering design. He is invited to give lectures around the world about design in nature and engineering to secular and Christian audiences.
